Submission Details and Dates
We are pleased to invite you to the eighth edition of the Asia Pacific Public Policy Network Conference which this year will be hosted by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology at its Clear Water Bay, New Territories, campus June 1-2, 2023.

Individual Paper Proposals
We welcome paper proposals of high-quality empirical and theoretical research with no paper/presentation number or co-author restrictions. The significance and quality of the research topic, design, techniques, data, and consequences will be used to evaluate your proposals. Submissions must include an abstract (250-word maximum), paper title and author’s name and title, institution, and email address.
Panel Proposals
The planning committee also welcomes the submission of 3-5 paper panels including a chair who may also be one of the panelists. Submissions for panels should include complimentary papers that build on each other and explore the conference topic more in depth.
Panel proposals must include a panel title and description (no more than 350 words), in addition to the titles and information of each individual paper proposal as described above. The panel proposal should also include details about the panel chair if they are not a panelist. Each panel paper will be considered individually based on whether or not it fits the criteria for individual paper submissions. The panel organizer is responsible for submitting the panel proposal, including the associated paper proposals and the chair information.
All proposals must be submitted via email at apppnpaper@ust.hk by 24 February, 2022, at the latest.
The acceptance or rejection of a proposal will be communicated by 3 March, 2023. If a proposal is accepted, the presenter(s) is/are required to register for the conference. The deadline for completed papers is 21 May 2023. For inquiries please feel free to contact us at apppn2023@ust.hk.
